Create Sustainable Global Change, working alongside local communities .

Secure practical skills and industry experience that puts you ahead of the graduate pack, all whilst achieving a sustainable, genuine social impact in the developing world.

Program overview

If you undertake a Global Impact Program with us, you will be working in a team of 6-8 other trekkers (other awesome students like you) to work on the development of a particular venture. You’ll have a highly trained team leader whose focus will be on facilitating the project growth and the wellbeing of the team, as well as a Group Leader and 2IC (second-in-charge) to manage the group as a whole.

If you are successful in your application and interviews for one of our projects, you’ll be required to attend pre-departure training, and then a Global Impact Program of 4, 8, or 12 weeks. Some projects only operate in certain countries due to feasibility, viability, and the local infrastructure to implement a specific business model. Click here to see which projects are running in each country.

As a trekker on a Global Impact Program, you’ll be playing a hands-on role at the core of the venture development: working directly with the local community and iterating your product or service to ensure a locally tailored solution to the social issue. You, your team, and your leaders will be responsible for the development of this startup at a grassroots level – pretty awesome, right?

Whilst your overall global Impact Program will be similar no matter which project you undertake and where, each experience differs based on country, project, leadership team, you team and your group. Not only will your work experience be different from others you graduate beside at university, but it will also even be unique alongside other people within Project Everest.

Countries We Operate

The countries we are working in are continuously assessed for safety and venture feasibility. We design projects the needs of the local community to ensure that a long term and ongoing sustainable impact can be achieved.

“What. A. Month.”

Going to Timor-Leste with Project Everest is one of the best decisions I have made in my life. The amount you grow personally and professionally is unimaginable. All the leadership team works tirelessly, and all their energy is put into moving the project forward, and helping you achieve goals to benefit communities less fortunate then your own.

It’s a bonus that you will meet friends for life on the trip, all trekkers are like minded and have the underlying goal of helping people and pushing each other to be the best they can possibly be.

It doesn’t matter whether you’re are doing arts, law or engineering, Project Everest is for everyone. It develops your confidence, communication skills and allows you to think of creative and practical ways to solve social issues. There are also many opportunities to stay connected post project, and highlights how much Project Everest cares about those involved with them.

So, if you like adventure, but need a little push, Project Everest is for you!”
